Caprivi Strip

The Caprivi Strip has plenty of things to offer its visitors and they all have something to do with the beauty of the area and its national parks, as well as the wildlife and the many bird species found here. The area is usually visited by people that enjoy nature. It’s not a place for the typical traveler, not unless they love the outdoors.

National Parks

There are three national parks in the area, recognized for the game life. Bwabwata, Mudumu and Mamili are the three national parks found here and they are all good choices for travelers. Some of these are well organized and people can camp here and take tours either on their own or with the help of guides, while in other areas you will need to rough it. If you enjoy staying outdoors and seeing great new places, hundreds of bird species and animals, then these national parks should be on your must see list. There are over 400 bird species recorded here and animals that include elephants, crocodiles, hippos and even a species of antelope that is not found anywhere else in the world. Not only that, but the biggest elephant group in the world can be found in this region.

Victoria Falls

This is considered to be the largest waterfall in the world. It’s not part of the Caprivi Strip, but it can be visited from here easily enough. The same can be said if you’re visiting Victoria Falls. You can reach the Caprivi Strip from there and you will not regret seeing the things it has to offer.
